Developed a cutting-edge cross-border payment application for PayHack 2025, Malaysia's largest Intervarsity Hackathon organized by PayNet. Built a comprehensive mobile app with 37+ screens featuring multi-network QR payments (DuitNow, PayNow, UPI, PromptPay, QRIS), ZKP biometric authentication, AI-powered identity verification, and deepfake detection. Tackled the 'Payments without Borders' challenge to build next-generation non-card payments.

The Problem

Cross-border payments remain fragmented with different QR standards across Southeast Asia (DuitNow in Malaysia, PayNow in Singapore, UPI in India, PromptPay in Thailand, QRIS in Indonesia). Users face high FX fees, security vulnerabilities in identity verification, and lack of privacy-preserving authentication methods. Traditional payment apps expose biometric data and are vulnerable to deepfake attacks.

The Solution

Built a unified cross-border payment platform with React Native/Expo featuring dual login for personal users and merchants, multi-network QR code support routing payments across 5 Southeast Asian payment networks, Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) biometric authentication where biometric templates never leave the device unencrypted, AI verification service for identity document OCR and facial recognition, deepfake detection to prevent spoofing attacks, and UEBA behavioral analytics for anomaly detection. Integrated ESG T+ Tree investment tracking feature.
